Fear Not

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

In 1933 at his inaugural address to the nation, newly elected President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt set a new tone for the future to a fearful nation. The famous words from that speech, “The Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself,” will forever be etched in the heart of American History. This statement brought a new glimmer of hope to a nation that had found itself paralyzed with fear on the heels of the “Great Depression” and it brought this great nation through the horrors of World War II with an expectation that “we can win.”

Yes, it’s natural to feel fear when you come trough a time of loss or suffering, but that place of fear is never where our Heavenly Father intended for us to stay. I’ve never actually counted, but I’ve heard that there are 365 times throughout scripture where we read the words “Fear not” or “Do not fear,” and if that’s true, that’s a “Fear Not” for every day of the year.

Yes, today and everyday your Father in Heaven wants you to live without Fear. Because of what Jesus has done for us on the cross we have nothing to fear from God and nothing to fear from man. Even in the face of a challenge or setback, we have the promise that we will always come out in victory.

Have you been sensing that He has been leading you in a new direction, or just simply calling you to live a life filled with peace and not fear? Today, move forward in faith! Don’t listen to the lies of your adversary any longer. You’re are a winner and you are blessed to be a successes at whatever He leads you to do.
