All In

The Lord is good, a strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge and trust in Him. Nahum 1:7 (AMP)

What if I told you there was a place, a safe place, where you never had to worry or be in fear of your adversary’s attacks, schemes, or plans? That may seem “too good to be true,” right? But that place does exist and it is in the will and plan of God for your life.

Now I’m not saying that in the “will of God” you’ll never have a challenge, set back, or trouble of any kind. In fact, in John 16:33 Jesus Himself stated clearly that here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart because I have overcome the world.” What I am saying, rather, is that His will for our lives is the safest place on earth we can be.

Recently, I found myself wrestling with something I knew God had called me to do. I was sure God had told me to step into something, but subconsciously I was using circumstances to measure whether or not I really wanted to put my whole heart into it. You see, none of us want to look like a fool, especially when we know we have critics who would love to see us fall flat on your face, and we all have those.

I experienced a moment one day where I found myself almost paralyzed.  The next day, after asking Him to reveal to me why that had happened, He made it abundantly clear. What I heard His still small Voice say to me was simple and freeing. He brought to my mind James 4:7 which says, Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

What He showed me was that my submission was my resistance and when I submitted to Him, the enemy had to flee. He made it abundantly clear to me that I needed to be “ALL IN.” Not one foot in and one foot out, but completely, one-hundred percent, whole-heartedly “ALL IN.” There are some things; blessings, provisions and more, we’ll never experience or know until we are “ALL IN.”

Is the Father leading you into a new area of life? Is He leading you down an unfamiliar road? If so, know today that you can trust Him. Know that you can put your whole heart into what He is leading you to and what He is leading you to do. The safety, rest, and peace you’ve been looking for will surely come once you’re “ALL IN.”
