For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.2 Corinthians 1:20

In the book of Judges, we see that over and over the Children of Israel continually disobeyed the Lord. Every time, God would deliver them from one enemy and before you knew it, they were right back into their idol worship, forsaking the God who had brought them out of Egypt’s slavery and blessed them with the Promised Land. But each time, as they would cry out in repentance and turn their hearts back to the Father, He would hear their cries for help, and from His merciful grace deliver them once again. God was never slack when it came to keeping His promises to Israel, even though they abandoned Him over and over. His initial promise to their forefathers and mothers was that He would deliver them when they turned their hearts back to Him, and He kept that promise continually.

Paul, in his second letter to the Church at Corinth, tells them that God can always be counted on to keep His every promise. According to Paul, our Heavenly Father’s answers are always a resounding YES when it comes to the promises He has made and fulfilled through His son Jesus.

The only thing that needs to be added to the equation is our yes. When we say “Yes,” or “Amen”, to the promises that God has made available to us in saving us through His Son, we see those promises fulfilled. Jesus means “Jehovah is Salvation” and “salvation” and “saved” are the Greek word, Sozo, which means to be saved, healed, delivered, preserved, protected, made prosperous, and made whole.

What part of salvation do you need today? Just say YES to His promise and see the Salvation of the Lord.
