The Turnaround

“The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.” Genesis 39:2-4

From the rebuke of his father, the hatred of his brothers, the false accusations from Potiphar’s wife, and prison; Joseph’s life looked like a complete mess. It was not at all like he had thought things were going to work out for him based on the dreams he had. Two dreams, back to back, led him to believe that there was greatness in his future, but instead he was experiencing the worst kind of failure. But, in spite of all the seeming failure, there was something that set Joseph apart from all the rest, and that something was Someone.

God was with Joseph and, therefore, Joseph “was a successful man.” God’s presence and anointing on Joseph’s life gave him the Midas touch. Everything he put his hand to prospered. All of this looked like “the blessing” he had heard about, that had been on his father, grandfather, and great grandfather. And now, Joseph was seeing that same blessing show up in his own life, even in the worst of circumstances, all because God was with Him.

Regardless of the situation or circumstances you may be faced with today, know that as a child of God, God’s presence and blessing are with you too. Joseph’s two-year long wait in prison must have seemed like a lifetime, but it was nothing compared to the successes he would soon experience. Just like that, God turned his whole situation around and gave Joseph great favor and showed him that the dreams he had, all those years ago, were his destiny.

InPsalm 27:14, David encourages us with these words, Wait patiently for the Lord.Be brave and courageous.Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”

Know, today, that God is with you and you are a success. Wait patiently for Him and the turnaround will surely come.
