But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
Yes, I must admit I was a little nervous. It was her first volleyball game ever, and most of the girls on her team had played for years. My youngest sitting beside me said, “Dad, you’re too loud,” as a let out a cheer after seeing my middle girl volley the ball. She did extremely well, made some great plays and yes, I was right there cheering her on the whole time.
If I as an earthly dad want my kid to win, how much more does our Heavenly Father want to see us win? Some aren’t convinced that he does, but I’m absolutely certain that He wants to see us victorious in every area of life.
That’s the reasons He sent His Son, so that we could walk in victory. There are words that speak to such throughout scripture like, “we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus,” “He always causes us to triumph” and more. Don’t be fooled into thinking that heaven isn’t cheering you on every time you face a challenge. And by all means don’t listen to the lies of your adversary saying, “you’re going to fail,” or “you’re just a looser and everybody knows it.”
Hebrews 12:1 says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
Today, no matter what you set out to do, know that your Father in Heaven wants you to win and He and all of Heaven is cheering for you. Hear the voice of Truth today saying, “YOU’RE A WINNER!”
